November

November was an intended recurring character of Dollhouse which was to be portrayed by Miracle Laurie. During the retooling of the show in the Fall of 2008, "November has fallen out of the mix, because the show simply moves too fast now for me to do what I wanted with her," but Miracle Laurie got another role, Mellie.

Background

"Needs" begins to explore November's past. It is revealed that she once had a daughter named Katie. Later in the episode, she is crying at her daughter's grave. What happened to her daughter is unclear, but it may indicate why she is in the Dollhouse.

Dollhouse

November was described as "a hopeful child in the house and everyone else you need her to be outside. A comforting, radiant presence, who tends to get fewer of the criminal gigs and more of the personal ones."

November is a sleeper Active, as revealed in "Man on the Street." Her killer personality is activated by the phrase "There are three flowers in a vase, the third flower is green," and is deactivated by the phrase "There are three flowers in a vase, the third flower is yellow."
