David Solomon is an executive producer and director of Dollhouse.

Previous workEdit

Buffy the Vampire SlayerEdit

Solomon worked with Joss Whedon many a times on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, directing 19 episodes during the series run. He also served as a co-producer during Buffy's first four seasons, as a producer for the fifth and sixth, and eventually becoming a co-executive producer for the seventh and final season of the show. Only Joss Whedon and James A. Contner have directed more Buffy-episodes than Solomon.

Solomon directed the eighth episode of Whedon's space-western Firefly, titled "Out Of Gas". The writer of the episode, Tim Minear (who also was the co-showrunner of Firefly), commented that the unique storytelling in this episode (alluding to the three distinct timelines that were involved in it) only played out so well because of Solomon's directing.

Solomon was the first director besides Joss Whedon to be attached to Dollhouse. He was credited as co-executive producer throughout Season 1 and promoted to executive producer for Season 2. His directing credits are as follows:
